Maura Higgins has shared a touching tribute to her time in the I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here jungle.
The reality star joined the hit show hosted by Ant and Dec as a latecomer alongside Reverend Richard Coles.
The Irish star quickly became a fan favourite of the series, with many viewers disappointed she didn’t make it to the final.
Maura took to Instagram to share a tribute to her time in the jungle, thanking everyone who gave her the opportunity.
Sharing pics of her time on the show, the 34-year-old: “If you ask me about my time in the jungle i’ll say it was so much fun, but if you ask me on a deeper level I’ll say it was the best 3 weeks of my life, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.”
“I was so lucky to have met my incredible campmates who are all now my friends for life, and I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them.”
“I’ve learnt that I’m a lot tougher than I think (although spiders still terrify me!) and I am so grateful for each and every person (all 750 of them!) that worked on this incredible show.”
The former campmate added: “Tank you from the bottom of my heart and to ITV for an experience of a lifetime ❤️”
