Maura Higgins reveals what it was like bringing Curtis home to Longford

Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard recently came in fourth place during this summer’s season of Love Island.

Since the show ended, the Irish model brought her new boyfriend Curtis back to Longford to meet her friends and family and to celebrate their time on the show.

“It was so nice going home together, because everybody really loved him,” she told The Irish Sun newspaper.

“People kept saying to me how good looking he was in real life, and wanting to take photos with him.”

“We had a big party with all my family, friends. It was a crazy, wild night.”

“But we also had a while to be together with no cameras.

The model revealed that the couple are committed to making things work outside the villa, despite the demands and pressures that their new found fame may bring.

“We were in the hotel and then we went for a walk in forest near my home town,” she told the paper.

“We have agreed we need to make sure we make time for each other, because we do really like each other and want it to work.”

Maura also revealed that the couple have taken their physical relationship to the next level since exiting the show.

Maura said: “We’ve had a good time. Was he worth the wait? Definitely, 100 per cent. I did try a few times in the villa, in the bedroom and on the outside bed.”

“I tried but I didn’t succeed. Curtis said that it was for me and him alone, and he didn’t want to do anything in there. And that’s absolutely fine.”

“Actually I’m glad now that we waited, because it made it even more special.”
