Maura Higgins has revealed the “truth” about her relationship with ex Curtis Pritchard as he’s set to enter Love Island: All Stars.

Six years after dating Maura, 34, the 28-year-old professional dancer returns to the villa for another chance at love.

The pair first met on the 2019 series of Love Island and dated for eight months.

However, Maura has opened up about that relationship all these years later.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Maura confessed: “You’re in this confined space and maybe you think you like someone that you probably wouldn’t on the outside.”

This follows reports that the Irish native is “worried” about Curtis entering the villa once again.

A source told The Sun: “Curtis signing for All Stars is more than awkward for Maura just as she’s fallen for Pete and they’ve finally gone public with their love.”

“Her break-up with Curtis wasn’t the best and Maura always worried he’d be the ex that could blab.”

“It’s also less than ideal when she’s hoping to build on her I’m A Celebrity profile and advance her career.”

However earlier this week, Curtis revealed he is free to speak about his previous relationship with Maura on Love Island: All-Stars.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Curtis was asked whether he had “made a deal” with his ex, that he wouldn’t speak about her.

Ahead of last years series, Chris Taylor revealed he had made a deal with Maura to not speak about her or their relationship.

“I haven’t spoke to her in a long time so that’s really…if they have a deal like that then they have a deal like that, really,” he said.

“You know, we work differently.”

Curtis also spoke about THAT awkward interview with Maura, following his elimination from Love Island Games.

“I didn’t really find anything awkward.”

“To be fair, you know I like to talk to everybody and anybody, I don’t think I’m an awkward person to talk to.”

When asked if they spoke after the interview, he said: “Oh so it’s ever such a go go go. situation on these programs so you never get time to do anything. really you’ve got to.”

“You’ve got your chaperone with you or this and that with you and it’s oh off you go off you go so there’s no time for anything.”

Love Island: All Stars is set to return to ITV2 on January 13th, with Maya Jama as host.
