Maura Higgins reveals she ‘cried’ after group of paparazzi CHASED her down the street

The Love Island star has been struggling to adjust to life in the spotlight

Maura Higgins has revealed that she “cried” after a group of paparazzi chased her down the street.

On the latest episode of Boohoo’s Get The Scoop podcast, which Maura hosts, the Longford beauty opened up about the downsides of her newfound fame.

When asked what the worst part of being a celebrity is, Maura said: “For me it’s definitely the paps. Because they are very, very annoying at times.”

“Especially on days, like you know everyone has down days and you don’t really want a camera in your face, and they’re there snapping away.”

Maura then explained: “The TV Choice Awards for me was… I actually think I cried a bit.”

“So I went out the front with a few of my Love Islanders, and yeah, they [the paps] just wouldn’t leave me alone and everyone else could chill out, and I couldn’t.”

“I came back in and I was getting really, really stressed out and then I decided ok I’ll go out and pretend I’m going to leave and I’ll go around the corner.”

“They chased me! They chased me, and I think there was about ten of them, and they were just flashing in my face and it kind of all got on top of me, and yeah, I cried.

“It just really got on top of me, so yeah, it’s very hard for me to get used to,” Maura added.
