Maura Higgins is reportedly planning to jet off on holiday to “shake off” the heartbreak of her split from Giovanni Pernice.
Earlier this week, it was widely reported that the couple had called it quits after four months of dating.
Insiders claimed Maura was “absolutely devastated” over their breakup, and both stars deleted all photos of each other from social media.
A source has since told The Sun: “Maura was upset that things ended with Giovanni. But she’s young, gorgeous and has absolutely no intention of doing a Bridget Jones and locking herself away for weeks sobbing her heart out.”
“She’s already discussing a break away with pals for a change of scenery and to try and shake off what’s happened.”
The insider continued: “Maura hasn’t been scarred for life by what happened with Gio.”
“She still firmly believes there is a guy out there for her. And whoever does end up with Maura will be very lucky.”
The Love Island star and the Strictly Come Dancing pro confirmed their romance in July, and were set to move in together this month.
But over the weekend, eagle-eyed fans noticed that they had removed all traces of their relationship from social media, sparking fears they had called it quits.
Maura started dating Giovanni back in June, following her split from fellow Love Island star Chris Taylor.
