As far as the Love Island cast goes, Irish model Maura Higgins is a favourite among viewers.
According to an ITV source, her popularity has not gone unnoticed, and show producers have their eye on her for future television work.
“ITV will be screen testing her when she gets out of the villa, that is for sure, and who knows what could happen,” a source told The Daily Mail on Sunday.
“There is a vacant slot where the Jeremy Kyle show goes. If she plays her cards right, she could land that.”
However, the source also revealed that she will be in the line up for more reality TV in the future.
“It is more than likely however that she would be looked at for I’m A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice.”
The source elaborated on Maura’s positive contribution to this year’s Love Island series:
“Maura has literally moved the dial when it comes to Love Island numbers in England and Ireland,” they told The Daily Mail.
“She has done everything, she has gone viral, and she has been brought up by charities as a poster girl for the modern woman.”
“Even Piers Morgan has been giving out about her so you know that she is doing something right.”
However, the source said that her distinctive accent may be an issue when it comes to landing big TV jobs.
“Her accent may be her big hurdle for a major presenting gig but it is definitely only the start of things for her.”
Love Island continues on Sunday night at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
