Maura Higgins is reportedly “devastated” over her split from Giovanni Pernice.
According to The Sun, the couple have sadly parted ways – after four months together.
A source said: “It’s all over for now. Maura’s absolutely devastated, it appears the Strictly curse has struck again.”
“Pals are hoping that they can patch things up. But only time will tell whether they’ll work things out as Giovanni is so busy.”
“He’s been focusing on Strictly, training his celeb partner Rose 24/7, and they’ve become really good friends. He’s even been learning sign language from Rose, showing it off on social media.”
“Maura’s decided to take a step back and let him concentrate on the show,” the insider added.
Goss.ie has contacted Maura and Giovanni’s reps for a comment.
The Love Island star and the Strictly Come Dancing pro confirmed their romance in July, and were set to move in together this month.
But over the weekend, eagle-eyed fans noticed that they had removed all traces of their relationship from social media, sparking fears they had called it quits.

The news comes just days after Maura hinted she was moving in with Giovanni.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Longford native shared a black-and-white video of boxes in her apartment.
She wrote: “It’s finally moving week! Reason for my absence!”
A source told the MailOnline earlier this month: “Things have become serious very quickly between Maura and Gio and they are now ready to move things up a level by getting their own place.”
“They both lead incredibly busy lives and spend a lot of time on the road working – so having somewhere they can come back to and always be together is incredibly important.”
“They have been talking about it and would like to start looking as soon as they can.”
The news the couple were moving in together came amid reports Giovanni’s friends “wouldn’t be surprised” if he proposed to the Irish reality star.
A source told The Sun: “Giovanni has never felt like this about anyone before. He has fallen for Maura incredibly quickly and right now she comes before everything else in his life.”
“He is still putting the hours in on Strictly but once that’s done he is happiest spending as much time as possible with Maura,” the insider continued.
“None of his mates have seen him like this before and Maura, who is always in and around set, has become really close to Giovanni’s friends as well.”
“Nobody would be surprised if they end up getting married because Giovanni has been saying she is the one he wants to be with forever.”
