Maura Higgins and Curtis have been plagued with speculation that their relationship is “fake.”
The speculation comes after Dancing With The Stars Ireland judge Brian Redmond confirmed that the couple could have met while Curtis worked on the hit TV show.
Brian told the Irish Mirror: “Maura knows the show because she has been a brand ambassador for Bellamianta, who are the tanning company for Dancing With The Stars.”
“I believe Maura had been out a few times to watch the show and apparently she and Curtis had cast eyes at each other across a busy dance floor years ago.”
Brian revealed that Maura would not be taking part in the show this year, but said she was not ruled out for future participation.
“She knows the show and being with Curtis she obviously knows what it involves,” he reportedly told the publication.
“It would be great to have her on but probably not this year.”
Curtis has since swapped his role on DWTSI for a leading part in a UK pantomime.
Curtis and Maura struck up a relationship on this season of Love Island. Curtis admitted on the show to sliding into the Irish model’s DMs.
However during the show, Maura claimed not to know the dancing pro.
