Marty Morrissey says he has to work on his ‘sex appeal’ for Dancing With The Stars

Marty Morrissey has said he wants to work on his “sex appeal” on the lead up to Irish Dancing With The Stars.

The RTE presenter is already hotly tipped to win the competition, but right now he’s working on his moves.

“I have to work on my toes, I have to work on my posture, I have to work on my frame and I certainly have to work on my sex appeal because none of it is looking good at the moment,” he told the Irish Independent.

“I’m working on it. The phones are a great help. You think you’re on your toes and then you look back at the video and you look flat-footed,” he explained.

The British and US versions of the shows always result in a few romances, and last year contestant Thalia Heffernan met her now boyfriend Ryan McShane behind the scenes on the show.

But Marty said romance should be there furthest thing from anyone’s mind.

“To be fair, there’s so much preparation to do and so much hard work, the last thing that would be on your mind would be romance in any shape or form. It’s trying to just remember not to make an idiot of yourself,” he admitted.

Marty has been partnered with Ukrainian dancer Ksenia Zsikhotska who made it to the semi-finals last series with Hometown singer Dayl Cronin.
