Marion Cotillard gushes about ‘passionate’ Michael Fassbender

Marion Cotillard has gushed about her “passionate” co-star, Michael Fassbender.

The French actress, who stars alongside the Irish-German actor in Assassin’s Creed, has worked with Michael before as they both starred in 2015’s Macbeth, which was also directed by Justin Kurzel.

“I had an amazing experience on Macbeth with Justin Kurzel and Michael Fassbender so the simple idea to team up again with them was very exciting,” she told RTÉ Entertainment, speaking about her role in Assassin’s Creed.

The Oscar winner also took time to credit Kerry man Michael for his creativity, and passion for cinema.

“He’s very creative, he’s so passionate about cinema, and on this particular project he was also a producer so he was really at the beginning on the creative process of writing the script and choosing the director, so he had a very special place on this project.”

Speaking about working with Marion again, Michael said, “There’s trust that’s been built up, we definitely built that up on Macbeth and we all relied on each other, and we trusted one another.”

Assassin’s Creed is set for release in cinemas on New Year’s Day.
