Love/Hate's Susan Loughnane horrified after sexist 'creeps' target her on Tube

Love/Hate star Susan Loughnane has told of her shock at being targeted by sexist creeps while travelling on the London Underground.

The Hollyoaks actress revealed she was secretly photographed on a camera phone as she ate soup on the Tube.

But the 27-year-old only discovered she was snapped after being informed by a stranger when she got off the train.

She said: “As I changed platforms on the tube a stranger tells me there was a person taking photos of me on the last Tube while I was eating my soup.”

And Susan was informed by former Love/Hate colleague Caoilfhionn Dunne that she was most likely targeted by a user of Women Who Eat On Tubes.

It is a Facebook page which invites commuters to upload pictures of female strangers caught eating in public.

Shocked Susan said: “Ew. I just didn’t have the time to sit down and eat in pret. That’s an incredibly sexist Facebook page. Can’t believe it exists.”

A series of protests have recently taken place against the website, which has more than 14,000 members and claims it is “observational not judgemental” and “doesn’t intimidate or bully”.

It adds: “Subjects are embraced and cherished. We celebrate and encourage women eating food on tubes, we do not marginalise them. We always look for the story in the picture. We don’t swear.”

Previously Susan was shocked after adverts for escort agencies appeared on Facebook and Google after researching playing prostitute Debbie in Love/Hate.

She added: “I was Googling prostitutes and stuff so then prostitution ads kept popping up ‘Are you looking for a job as an escort?’ on the side of my Facebook page, blatantly advertising prostitution to me.

“It’s horrific to think they can do that, shame on Facebook. It horrified me but maybe I’m too prudish.”
