Love Island star Maura Higgins ‘grew close’ to Roman Kemp at BRITs afterparty

Maura Higgins reportedly grew close to Roman Kemp at a BRITs afterparty.

The 2022 BRIT Awards took place on Tuesday evening at London’s O2 Arena, with a host of famous faces in attendance.

According to The Sun, Maura and Roman met at the ceremony and then headed to Tom Grennan’s afterparty at The Orange Yard in London’s Soho together with a group of pals.

An onlooker told the publication: “Everyone was talking about how Maura and Roman were flirting and all over each other during the bash.”

“They were dancing together and laughing a lot, they seemed to be glued to each other’s sides all night.”

“Maura has been unlucky in love lately, but hanging out with Roman seemed to put a smile back on her face.”

Roman’s rep told the outlet: “Roman and Maura are friends.”

It comes after Maura’s ex Giovanni Pernice was reportedly spotted kissing Emily Atack at a BRITs afterparty at The Box nightclub in London.

An onlooker told The Sun: “Gio and Emily were snogging the faces off each other. Their hands were everywhere and they were absolutely loving it”

“He had been following her around the club and joined her on Maya Jama’s private table. Before long he had his arms draped over her on the dance floor where they kissed — and then held hands outside in the smoking area.”

“There were also loads of raunchy performers on stage which they watched while cosying up together. It was more than flirty.”

A rep for Emily declined to comment on this story when contacted by Goss.ie. Giovanni’s rep was also contacted.

Giovanni split from his Irish girlfriend Maura in October last year, after four months together.

At the time, sources said Maura was “devastated” over their break up.

Prior to her romance to Giovanni, Maura dated her Love Island co-stars Curtis Pritchard and Chris Taylor.
