She has been causing a stir ever since she landed in the villa – and now Maura Higgins’ ex is claiming she’s “playing a game” on the show.
Mechanic James Finnegan, 31, revealed that Maura used to be “much more reserved” and “not the most beautiful girl in town” when she was a teenager.
“I think Maura is playing a game and trying to grab attention,” he revealed.
:But there is a lot of jealousy towards her here, with people bitching behind her back. I think she will be given a hard time when she comes home.”
The pair started dating when Maura was 18, and their romance lasted for 9 years.
“She was not the most beautiful girl in town and was much more reserved back then, but I had wanted to go out with her for some time,” he claimed.
The duo split just two years ago, with pals saying James has been left “heart broken”.
“As time went on and their relationship became more serious, Maura decided she wanted to get married, but James wasn’t willing to commit,” a source previously told Mail Online.
“In the end she told him she wanted settle down and gave him an ultimatum, but he didn’t want to be tied down by children so they broke up.”
After splitting from James, Maura went on to date Paul Caslin, a Liverpool TV director.
The pair split when Paul moved to LA and the couple couldn’t make a long distance relationship work.
