Louis Walsh SLAMS Girls Aloud and the Spice Girls

Louis Walsh has taken a pop at girl bands Girls Aloud and the Spice Girls, while speaking about this year’s talent on The X Factor.

The music manager, who has famously returned as an X Factor judge this year, admitted that some auditionees this year looked like “drag queens” – and compared them to popular pop groups Girls Aloud and the Spice Girls.

“We had some drag queens who looked like the Spice Girls or Girls Aloud!

“They couldn’t sing so they reminded me of those two groups,” he told The Sun.

It’s no secret that Louis isn’t a fan of the two girl groups, having publicly clashed with Girls Aloud star Cheryl in the past.

Although Louis isn’t too fond of Girls Aloud and the Spice Girls, he’s a huge fan of new Xtra Factor host Rylan Clark-Neal, who was once a contestant on the show.

“Rylan is back, I think he’s so entertaining, funny and he’s intelligent, and he wears an awful lot of make-up – what’s not to like?

“Simon doesn’t really know Rylan because he wasn’t on the show when Rylan was on, so I kept telling him he had to hire Rylan. I think The Xtra Factor this year is going to be the biggest and best it’s ever been.”

Speaking about returning to the popular ITV talent show, Louis insisted that Simon took him back because he’ll never get anyone “to be as honest and hard-working as me”.

“Simon and I talk all the time, we’re always good friends and even last year during the show I would call him up and he would just laugh at me every night.

“I have a very honest relationship with (Simon), he’s not going to get anyone , let’s be frank,” he added.
