Louis Walsh responds to Liam Payne telling him to ‘shut the f**k up’

Louis Walsh has responded to Liam Payne telling him to “shut the f**k up”, by wishing him and his girlfriend Cheryl nothing but happiness.

The 1D star launched into a scathing rant about the 64-year-old music manager after he told a journalist to “f**k off” when questioned about Cheryl at a recent press call.

Soon after news broke that Louis’ band Hometown were set to split, Liam tweeted, “Maybe it’s about time you realise it’s not all about you and shut the f**k up for once”.

Despite Liam’s scathing comments, Louis has wished him and girlfriend Cheryl well as they are expecting their first child together.

“I think Cheryl and Liam starting a family will make her really happy. I honestly think she deserves to be happy. And I think this will make her happy over and above what her career does,” Louis told The Daily Star.

“Liam’s a nice guy. I have nothing bad to say about them.”

The X Factor judge also went on to compliment Cheryl, despite the pair’s notorious long-term feud.

“I don’t think being a mum will affect her career at all if she doesn’t want it to. It’s never too late. I only wish her the best,” he said.

Liam’s rant came after a journalist asked Louis what his reaction would be if Simon Cowell invited former judge Cheryl back on the show, while he was standing beside his X Factor act 5 After Midnight.

“Well Simon wouldn’t invite Cheryl back because we have Nicole. We have Nicole and Sharon, we don’t need another girl. So go and f**k off now!”

“No silly questions, seriously. It’s not about Cheryl. Don’t be stupid, man,” he said.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday night, Liam wrote, “Congratulations Louis Walsh for setting the worst example on handling media for his band who are about to step into a very hard industry.

“Maybe it’s about time you realise it’s not all about you and shut the f**k up for once, let them speak,” he added.

Louis Walsh’s comments come after 1D star Liam attended the X Factor last night to support his bandmate Louis Tomlinson, as he performed his debut solo single in tribute to his late mum, who passed away on Wednesday.
