The X Factor judge has taken on a VERY different new project

Louis Walsh has narrated a Christmas film for dogs – called Merry Woofmas.

The “audio visual” movie has been “scientifically” designed to appeal to a dog’s colour spectrum of blue and yellow, and was produced based on the research of an animal behaviorist.

The movie stars famous Instagram dogs including Ramsey the Staffy, (@bluestaffy), Marcel Le Corgi, (@lecorgi) and Mika the Huskey (@huskeymika).

Created by new channel Christmas 24, the film was made with special audio and visual stimuli known to appeal specifically to dogs, which improves their moods.

Speaking about narrating the film, Louis said, “I’ve absolutely loved narrating this special Christmas movie for dogs.”

“It’s been really interesting to learn how pets are stimulated by different sounds and I hope they enjoy my voiceover in this film.

“I’ll definitely be encouraging Sharon and Simon’s dogs to give this a watch with me this Christmas! Merry Woofmas, everybody!”

Merry Woofmas airs on Christmas 24’s Facebook page on Saturday October 28 at 4:50pm.
