Lisa Duffy has revealed that she’s not worried about her son Jay pursuing a career in the dog-eat-dog world of showbiz.
The 20-year-old has previously starred in UK soap Hollyoaks and has nabbed a role in upcoming Irish movie Handsome Devil due to be released next year.
“It’s something he’s very passionate about. He’s in drama school now and he’s loving that,” she said.

“I just feel that if it is what he wants to do then let him give it a shot and he is young enough that if it doesn’t work out then he could back to college and do something else.”
“I’m very proud of him that at this stage in his life, he knows already what he wants to do. He’s very focused.”
Meanwhile, Lisa’s husband Keith will be spending Christmas at the Sleeping Beauty panto in Limerick.

“You just have to say to yourself that he’s gone for a couple of weeks and he’ll be back for Christmas,” she told The Herald.
“Limerick’s not far, we can bring Mia down for a night and then come back up.”
