Mrs Brown's Boys creator Brendan O'Carroll will appear on the show

RTÉ

Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll leads the line-up on the Late Late this week, as the show tackles everything from the state of the nation to the future of the Catholic Church.

Late Late host Ryan Tubridy will be catching up with Brendan about all things Mrs Brown’s Boys, as Agnes and family prepare to take to the 3Arena stage again.

He’ll be giving his take on Donald Trump and filling viewers in on what it was like to find himself literally in the eye of the storm as Hurricane Irma swept through Florida recently.

Fresh from collecting his fifth All-Ireland medal, Dublin footballer Philly McMahon is in studio to chat about how life could have been very different for him, as he opens up about the huge impact his brother’s drug-related death had on him and his family in his new book The Choice.

The state of the nation will also be up for discussion with politician Fidelma Healy Eames, journalist Kitty Holland and columnist Terry Prone on the panel.

Ireland’s favourite wedding planner Franc (Peter Kelly) is back on our screens helping Irish brides to find their perfect gown in Say Yes To the Dress Ireland – and he’ll be chatting about all things wedding related and how his business survived the recession.

He’ll also be filling viewers in on the latest trends and how emotions run high in the search for that special dress for the big day.

Fr Joe McDonald is no ordinary priest. Ordained at 45, he has long called for a more open and welcoming Catholic Church here and he is now tackling the establishment head on with a controversial book titled Why The Irish Church Deserves to Die.

He joins Ryan on Friday night to tell viewers why he believes the Irish Church has failed Jesus and the Gospel; what could be done to rescue it and why he feels the survival of the Church is by no means absolute.

PLUS, there will be music from Nathan Carter; and Electric Eddie joins Ryan as three amateur singers battle it out to take the Late Late Karaoke crown.

Watch The Late Late Show on RTÉ One, Friday, October 13th at 9.35pm.
