People are already comparing it to Love Island!

Laura Whitmore is back on our screens with another new reality show – and there’s been a mixed reaction so far.

Survival Of The Fittest sees a group of young singles sent to the South African Savannah to take part in the ultimate battle of the sexes, involving mental and physical challenges.

The show will act as a winter fix for Love Island fans, and people are already comparing it to the hit summer series.

Throughout the series, the contestants will have the opportunity to romance the opposite sex – but only at the expense of their team’s chances in the competition.

Similar to Love Island, viewers will be able to vote off contestants, and they will also be responsible for choosing which of the sexes comes out on top.

There was already one casualty in the show’s first episode, as Dani Dyer, the daughter of Eastenders star Danny Dyer, had to leave the show due to injury.

The general consensus seems to be that the show isn’t as good as Love Island – but people will still tune in to fill the void until the popular series return in the summer.
