Laura Whitmore has been given her very own MTV Award – after officially saying goodbye to the station.
The Bray native has been presenting MTV News for the last 7 years, but recorded her final newscast this week.
In a special tribute to the Irish star, the music station gave Laura her very own MTV Award.

The engraved award read: “Laura Whitmore. Outstanding Contributor to MTV News, May 2008 – February 2015.”
Sharing the photo of her new prize on Instagram Laura wrote: “Emotional day.”
During her final recording of MTV News Laura popped some champagne with her production team, as she read the news for the final time.

Wearing a retro MTV t-shirt, Laura posed with two bottles of champagne as she signed off for the last time.
Since announcing her departure Laura has been busier than ever – from walking at London Fashion Week to recording new shows with ITV.
