Laura Whitmore confirms she’s returning to the Love Island villa for the final

Laura Whitmore has confirmed she will be returning to the Love Island villa for the final.

The 36-year-old has been in the villa a lot less this year than in previous seasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

During Sunday night’s Aftersun, an airport announcer’s voice summoned her for her flight to “the island of love.”

The announcement said: “This is the final call for boarding would passenger Whitmore make her way to gate 69 immediately. The flight to the island of love is about to depart”.

Laura then said: “Sorry guys, love calls and the countdown to the final is well and truly on so next week we’re live from the villa! I can not wait.”

“Right I’ve a plane to catch, where’s my suitcase?” the Irish presenter added.

Laura will be flying from London to Mallorca later this week ahead of the final, which will take place on Monday, August 23 at 9pm.

Currently UK travelers need a negative PCR to enter Spain, and are not required to isolate if vaccinated.

On tonight’s show, another couple will be dumped from the show after being voted the least compatible couple by their fellow Islanders.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
