Kelly Donegan reveals she's moved on from Tallafornia: 'It didn't represent who I was'

Reality star Kelly Donegan has said she has left her Tallafornia life well behind her.

The Dublin model and body builder has admitted the show portrayed her in the wrong light, saying she found the show “frustrating” sometimes.

Since the show began to air in 2011 Kelly has now become more known for her love of fitness and body building competitions.

“I don’t think it represented who I was as a person,” she said.

“And to be really honest it was very frustrating at times and as amazing as it was to get the publicity, it was for the wrong reasons.

“I’m a tomboy, not a big party person, very easygoing and highly motivated – but no one knew any of those things about me.

“I went to art college for four years. That’s what I’m qualified in,” she told the Irish Mirror.

“People see this person on their screen and think it’s who you are when I was the opposite.”

Kelly, 25, added that moving into the world of fitness has allowed her to properly leave the Tallafornia image behind her.

“It’s been almost two years since the last show and it was a stepping stone to get my face out there and people to know my name.

“Even on the show I wasn’t a big drinker or a big party person but you can be so easily labelled as something, and you can’t blame viewers as they can only take it at face value.

“At the minute I’m trying to show myself for who I am with my love of fitness, which was kind of a personal thing.

“It wasn’t meant to be a rebrand but it turned out the natural progression,” she admitted.
