Keith Duffy officiates wedding ceremony for Fair City’s George McMahon in Spain

Keith Duffy officiated Fair City star George McMahon’s wedding this week.

The Boyzone star jetted to Spain with his family, to officially marry the actor and his other half Rachel Smyth.

The couple married in a humanist ceremony at a remote farmhouse near Nerja, and were joined by close friends and family.

George, who plays Mondo on the hit RTE soap, shared photos on his social media accounts.

“Married the love of my life @RachelDancer87 on Thursday,” he wrote.

“The most incredible week with family and friends. Thank you for all the lovely messages and well wishes.”

George and Rachel’s darling daughter Frankie (14 months) acted as flowergirl on the day.

“It was genuinely the best day of our lives, it was just brilliant from start to finish,” George told the Sunday World.

“People were saying to me, ‘Are you alright George, you’re going to wear the soles out of your feet,’ I was just pacing and pacing and pacing,” he said.

“Then as soon as I saw Frankie walking up the aisle I broke down crying. Then when everyone saw me breaking down, everyone else started crying. Then Rachel followed [down the aisle] and I thought she looked absolutely stunning. I thought I was invisible behind my shades, but everyone was like, ‘No we saw you crying’.”

Stars who attended the nuptials included newlyweds Jenny Dixon and Tom Neville.
