Kathryn Thomas starting legal action after being linked to the same false advertisements as Miriam O’Callaghan

Kathryn Thomas is starting legal action after being linked to the same false advertisements as Miriam O’Callaghan.

During the week Miriam was granted a High Court order which required Facebook to give her lawyer access to certain information about the accounts that have linked her to false advertisements on the social media platform.

The 59-year-old’s solicitor, Paul Tweet specialises in defamation law and has represented celebs such as Ashton Kutcher and Justin Timberlake in the past.

Miriam was linked to a number of advertisements promoting face cream and she is intending to seek damages for being falsely associated with the brand on Facebook and Instagram in May 2018.

The RTÉ presenter isn’t the only star to have been targeted by the face cream advertisements though, as Kathryn has also been linked to the brand.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the mother-of-one’s name and image has been used to advertise anti-aging cream, and one advertisement even claims she has quit her media career to promote the skincare brand.

Not only do the advertisements show Kathryn’s image and name, but Miriam also features in them despite taking legal action against Facebook.

Kathryn has now told the publication that she is starting legal action and revealed: “My solicitor’s on to it”.
