Kathryn Thomas has revealed that she regularly gets stopped while she’s out shopping – asking when she’ll be walking up the aisle.
The Operation Transformation host has previously opened up about constantly being asked the engagement question, but has now admitted that it’s just because people want the best for her.
“I’ve had older women come up to me in Super Valu and Penneys while I’m shopping and ask me when I’m getting a ring on the finger and when are you getting up that aisle,” she said.

“I think people just want it for you. I think people think I’ve been single for ever. And they want the best for you, so I get that a lot.”
Speaking about why she thinks she gets asked the question so much, Kathryn puts it down to her age and also the fact that she’s a woman.
“I do [get fed up], because I’ve been asked for ten years. But I just think it’s funny,” she told RSVP.
“Very rarely a man would be asked that question, but as a woman in your 30s you are asked constantly. So I find it amusing at this point.

“It’s also an age thing, I have people think, ‘God now she’s not married, she’s not with child yet’. And I have plenty of friends who get the same thing,” she explained.
“But I just wonder are people not bored of hearing about it. Like to be honest, I’m happy out and luckily all is good for us, so it’s fine.”
Despite the endless speculation surrounding Kathryn’s love life, she revealed that it has no effect on her relationship with her partner Padraig.
“To be honest those two people are the only ones who should know what’s going on and where they are going in the future. So that’s how we look at it,” she added.
