RTE presenter Kathryn Thomas has switched management in Ireland, in hopes of getting more work.

The Voice of Ireland presenter has been with PR guru Joanne Byrne for over 10 years, but has decided to leave the management company in hopes of getting work in London.

Kathryn Thomas has now signed up with agent Noel Kelly, who represents Ryan Tubridy, Yvonne Keating, Karen Koster and Maura Derrane.

The news comes just weeks after it was revealed Grainne Seoige had left Noel Kelly Management, with speculation that she had switched to Kathryn’s agent Joanne Byrne.

According to the Irish Daily Mail an email was circulated around RTÉ on Monday evening telling staff that Kathryn had new representation.

“Joanne is disappointed to lose Kathryn but she understands that when somebody wants to leave it is important to let them go,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“Noel Kelly has helped Ryan Tubridy secure work in London with the BBC and I understand that Kathryn would like to explore that avenue of work.

“She has had an amazing time with Joanne but just felt that the time had come to move on and Noel was the right fit. It is a very amicable.”
