Kathryn Thomas' bootcamp to rake in over €700k

RTÉ star Kathryn Thomas’ new bootcamp business is expected to rake in over €700,000 over the next year.

The presenter set up Pure Results bootcamp in Cork back in March with prices starting at a hefty €1,119 for seven days of nutritional advice and intensive workouts, and promises to kick-start a healthy regime for people willing to pay the price.

The bootcamp takes in 24 people per course, offers 10 hours of exercise classes including yoga and educates its members on their health.

Kathryn will be rolling out the bootcamp every week until the end of the year, after initially testing it for six weeks over the summer.

The Carlow native has been operating the course from Inish Beg in Cork, but will be moving to a more permanent premises in Dromore Castle, Co. Kerry, according to the Irish Daily Mail.

They’ve hired the grounds for six months and plan to run at least 24 bootcamps next year.

“Bootcamp for me was meant to be five weeks, which turned into eight weeks, which turned into morning its home to having a permanent move for it next year,” Kathryn said.

“I think I could make it a very successful business. Like most things I do, it was a case of, ‘Let’s give this a whirl and see what happens.'”

“It went well, but I have no idea whether it would work or not because it is a week off work to do it.”
