Just call her Dr Ni Shuilleabhain: Tubridy's girl celebrates after passing her PhD

You can finally call her Dr Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain – after graduating with her PhD in Maths from Trinity College.

The former Rose of Tralee has spent the last three years working on hitting the top rung in Irish education.

She also gave up her presenting gig on RTE travel show Getaways in order to further her education in 2011 and now it seems to have finally paid off for the beauty.

And Aoibhinn – who is dating Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy – said: “You can call me Dr – just passed my PhD!”

Recently, Goss.ie told how the 30-year-old has now taken up a teaching position in the School of Mathematics in UCD.

She said: “And it’s great to be back in my alma mater with lecturers who taught me when I was doing my undergrad.”

The ex-TV presenter admitted she loves the independence working in academia brings her. She added: “They’re quite filled days. They’re quite eclectic days.”

“It’s almost like being self-employed, because there’s so much to do – but you do it in your own time. So I suppose you have to be motivated, but everyone in there is.”

And Aoibhinn, who is currently dating RTE star Ryan Tubridy also revealed she has no plans to have children with The Late Late Show host anytime soon.

“A lot of people have been asking me” she admits. “But look – I’m very happy where I am at the minute, just starting a new aspect of my career. And you know, it’s not something that I have a big focus on at the minute.”
