Johnny Vegas was forced to apologise to his fans this morning, after he shared a “worrying” tweet which sparked concern.

In the early hours of this morning, the comedian tweeted, “See you in the next life x Night all,” leaving fans seriously worried.

Fans quickly expressed their concern, but then some Twitter users pointed out that he was simply quoting the 1988 film Midnight Run, which he said he had been watching.

After waking up to concerned messages today, Johnny told fans: “I’m absolutely fine.”

“Apologies to anyone who hadn’t read my earlier twitter thread, I was merely quoting the end of a favourite movie Midnight Run,” he added.

The British comedian and actor is married to Irish TV presenter Maia Dunphy, and the couple are parents to a son named Tom.
