Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra are coming to GALWAY

Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh have announced two great End of Festival gigs to celebrate its 40th anniversary, featuring two of Ireland’s hottest acts right now: 2FM DJ Jenny Greene & the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and The Coronas.

In what promises to be a great End of Festival party weekend, 2FM DJ Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will tear the roof off the Absolut Big top with their Dance Anthems set on Friday 28 July, while festival favourites The Coronas will rock the Absolut Big Top music programme to a close on Saturday 29 July.

The collaboration between Jenny Greene and the 48-piece RTÉ Concert Orchestra debuted at Electric Picnic to rave reviews in 2016, where the show featured live performances of 90’s club classic hits such as Silence, Adagio for Strings, Everybody’s Free, Insomnia and Missing.

Such was the success of the gig and the response to it that Dance Anthems, complete with stunning visuals, featuring Gemma Sugrue on vocals and with conductor Gavin Murphy, played two sold-out gigs at Dublin’s 3Arena earlier this year.

Commenting on Galway International Arts Festival’s End of Festival Party announcement, Festival CEO John Crumlish said: “Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and The Coronas are two great acts and will provide for a great finish to what is our biggest festival to date.”

2FM’s Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will play the Absolut Big Top on Friday 28 July 2017. Tickets, priced at €49.50, will go on sale on Thursday 27 April at 9am.

The Coronas will play the Absolut Big Top on Saturday 29 July 2017. Tickets, priced at €35, will also go on sale on Thursday 27 April at 9am.

The 40th Galway International Arts Festival takes place from 17-30 July 2017.
