RTE 2FM presenter Jennifer Zamparelli has revealed that she “nearly vomits” when she hears the theme song for The Apprentice.

The TV star shot to fame when she took part in the 2008 series of BBC’s The Apprentice.

Speaking to The Sun, the 39-year-old spoke about her experience on the show, as fellow Irish woman Pamela Laird is set to compete on this year’s season.

“I nearly vomit at the theme song,” she said.

“Hopefully Pamela is more clued in on what to believe and what not to believe. I hope she has good people around her.”

“Networks nowadays seem to be more aware of people’s mental health so that’s good. My experience was dreadful.”

The Dancing With The Stars presenter said her time on the show still gives her nightmares, as it was a difficult time “emotionally, mentally, physically.”

“It still gives me nightmares. The only good thing was that I learnt how to set up a business. Luckily I had good friends and family around me. It was a really difficult time – emotionally, mentally, physically – I’m lucky I got out unscathed.”

“Anyone who is in any way fragile shouldn’t go on something like that. Because there’s nothing real about reality TV.”

After taking part in the show, Jennifer set up Bella Makeover Studios with locations in Limerick and Dublin, and said her goal was to run a business, not become a TV star.

“The goal was to make money and run a successful business,” she said.

“TV was just a fun thing I did because I had a profile from The Apprentice and it went hand in hand with the business.”
