Presenter Jennifer Maguire has revealed she’s delighted that her new husband has landed a role in popular soap Emmerdale.
The Republic of Telly star is married to actor Lau Zamperelli, and admitted she’s overjoyed that he’s starring in the soap.
“Lau was in an episode of Emmerdale last night and he was in the pub and he was on a date with one of the main characters,” she said on 2FM’s Breakfast Republic.

“He had his Bristol accent so he was kind of west country, kind of this geeky character. But he said they were lovely.”
The pregnant presenter admitted that Lau came back with a bit of gossip from the set.
“One bit of goss from Ememrdale, the beer in the pub is real,” she explained.

“When he was chatting to this blonde in the background she was telling him to go easy on the pints they sell in the bar because it’s the only thing on set that’s real.”
