It looks like one of our favourite Hollywood stars, Jennifer Aniston, will be jetting to Ireland this summer – for her pal Courteney Cox’s wedding.
The Friends star is set to wed Snow Patrol singer Johnny McDaid in his native Derry in the coming months, and Courteney has asked her long-time pal Jennifer to be her maid of honour.
A source told the Sunday Mirror, “Courteney and Jennifer are thick as thieves and they have got even closer in recent months.”
“Courteney wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle without Jennifer by her side. They have a very strong friendship.”
Courteney, 53, and Jennifer, 49, have been close friends for over two decades after meeting on the set of Friends.
In fact, Courtney acted as Jennifer’s maid of honour when she married her ex-husband Justin Theroux in 2015.
Courteney started dating Irish man Johnny back in 2013, and the couple announced their engagement a year later.
However, the couple famously split for a few months, before reuniting in 2016.
According to reports, the pair will exchange vows in Johnny’s hometown of Derry in Northern Ireland, before travelling to Malibu, California to say “I do” in front of their close friends and family on the beach.
Although the couple will have two ceremonies, it’s expected that Jennifer will be present for both of them.
The source also revealed that Courteney is planning a “lavish and ultra posh” ‘do in LA, while their wedding bash in Derry will be “stylish but simple”.
The wedding singer at both parties is expected to be Ed Sheeran, who introduced Courteney and Johnny back in 2013.
As for what she’ll wear on both of her big days – sources say Courteney is having dresses and outfits designed by Jenny Packham, Vera Wang, and Zuhair Murad.
