Bookies have suspended betting on Amanda Byram’s Dancing With The Stars replacement, following an influx of votes for Jennifer Zamparelli.
According to the Irish Sun, BoyleSports have halted bets on the RTÉ 2fm presenter stepping in to replace Amanda as Nicky Byrne’s co-host.
Laura Whitmore and Vogue Williams were early favourites to nab the role, however, Jennifer’s odds shortened from 11/2 to 5/1 in recent weeks.
But then today, BoyleSports were forced to completely pull the plug on punters backing Jen, after slashing her odds to 3/1 due to a sudden flurry of bets.
Aoife Heffron, Spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “Jennifer Zamparelli has been backed off the boards to replace Amanda Byram on DWTS Ireland alongside Nicky Byrne, even cutting her odds to 3/1 from 5/1 wasn’t enough to slow the large bets.”
“With the majority of the bets coming in from County Dublin, we fear that someone may know something that we don’t!”
“Before the rush on Jennifer, it looked as though it was a clear race to the finish for Vogue Williams, who was the favourite for the role, but before we suspended the market, indefinitely, Jennifer had leap frogged her at the head of the betting.”
