Irish Women In Harmony raise incredible amount of money for charity with Dreams cover

The proceeds will help domestic abuse victims

Irish Women In Harmony have raised over €200,000 for charity, thanks to their cover of Dreams by The Cranberries.

Last month, a host of Irish female artists teamed up to sing the iconic song in a bid to raise money for Safe Ireland, the leading national organisation responding to domestic violence.

In a post shared on their official Instagram page, they said: “Over 215,000euro raised in donations so far for @safeireland WOW. We are blown away.”

“The generosity and support from the whole country & internationally for this song & campaign has been so beautiful to see.”

“All us Irish female artists wanted to come together to raise our voices for those who couldn’t. To help those in horrific domestic abuse situations be heard, seen, acknowledged and helped.”

“The Irish women in Harmony hope this money will help change lives, protect lives and save lives and we hope the awareness raised will help bring an end to all domestic abuse. Women supporting women and there sure was a tribe of women involved in this.”

“This was done by women in aid of women and we are so thankful to every single person who donated to Safe Ireland. Keep donating and supporting ????☘️.”

Safe Ireland also addressed the large donation on the social media platform.

“We cannot express how grateful we are to @irishwomeninharmony and every single person who donated,” they wrote.

The popular video featured a group of thirty-nine female musicians, including Imelda May, Una Healy, Lyra and Erica Cody.

On the latest episode of Goss Chats, Ali Ryan sits down with Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn, who reveals the real drama between the women on the show, and how she battled coronavirus on her wedding day.

#GossChats is sponsored by top Irish aesthetic clinic Haus of JeJuve, which is now back open for bookings.
