Irish star lands major L’Oréal campaign

Irish star Darren Kennedy has landed a major L’Oréal campaign, for their first-ever colour-enhancing treatment for all grey hair shades.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Darren shared a get ready with me style video, sharing his top tips for hair care.

The Irish star has openly celebrated his grey hair, and worked to end the stigma around men’s skincare and grooming.

Announcing the news, Darren Kennedy wrote: “Going grey isn’t something to hide—it’s something to celebrate. For me, embracing my silver has been a journey of confidence, and now, with L’Oréal Paris Cool Silver, my greys have never looked better!”

“This is their first-ever colour-enhancing treatment for all grey hair shades, types, and textures—and it’s so easy to use.”

“Just apply to damp hair, leave for 10-15 minutes, and rinse. The result? Softer, healthier-looking hair with vibrant silver tones that last up to 15 days!”

“It comes in three stunning shades, and I’m using ‘Absolute Silver’ for that cool, polished finish. Ready to make your greys shine?”

Darren own’s his own skincare and grooming brand for men called Kennedy & Co.

The brand and products revolve around men’s skin care and grooming routines including hair care.

Speaking exclusively to Goss.ie about the new range, Darren told us that he has wanted to create these products for a long time.

“This is something that I’ve had ambitions for for years. For four or five years I kind of thought ‘I’d love to do that’. The timing wasn’t right and then about eight months ago the groundwork and the framework was set and it’s just been full throttle.”

Darren previously opened up about the stigma surrounding male grooming and skincare, as he feels that men are becoming more comfortable using products to look after themselves.

“I think the time is now for men, for Irish men in particular. We’ve come into our own, we’re ready. We know that it’s not only nice to take care of your skin and look good, but it’s important because actually we’re going out there and people want to live their best lives. Whatever that means to them, it’s the little things that are important.”
