Irish graphic designer Annie Atkins has admitted she fell asleep right before winning her Oscar.
The talented star revealed she couldn’t make it to The Oscars this year, so she watched them at her parents house in Wales.
And while she won for the her role in the Art Department in The Grand Budapest Hotel, Annie has admitted she dozed off.
“I’m not actually in Los Angeles, I’m in Wales at my mum and dad’s house,” she said.
“But it was really glamorous – my dad cooked steak for dinner and we had champagne.

“Then we tried to stay up to watch most of it but we fell asleep. It was very late you know,” she told the Anton Savage Show on Today FM.
“The next thing I knew my dad was knocking at the door and it felt like the middle of the night.
“And he says, ‘Just warning you it’s very early, it’s six o’clock in the morning, but you won the Oscar’. I was so confused.”
Annie admitted she then hugged her dad and her dog.
