Irish Love Island star Salma Naran addresses her lack of airtime on the show

Salma Naran has addressed her lack of airtime on Love Island, after returning home to Ireland.

The 20-year-old model and influencer, who hails from Dublin, was one of six new girls who entered Casa Amor last week.

But during her time on the show, fans barely saw Salma onscreen – sparking outrage on Twitter.

After being dumped from the Island in Friday’s recoupling, Salma returned to Dublin and thanked fans for their support.

Taking to Instagram for the first time since her exit, she wrote: “Hi guys! Ya girls fresh home!”

“Firstly I would like to thank everyone dearly for the overwhelming support, I’m so grateful. I would also like to thank ITV for such an amazing experience.”

“I know a lot of you guys are really upset I didn’t get enough airtime, which I do appreciate, but let’s all please refrain from being nasty to production.”

“I had so much fun in the villa, was 100% myself,” she continued.

“As you must’ve guessed, the boys weren’t interested on a romantic level, there’s nothing I could do about that and I’m not the one to force things but I honestly had the best laughs with them and the girls too.”

“Friendships were made instantly. I can’t wait to see everyone on the outside. My Love Island experience was amazing, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

“Again, thank you so much for supporting me. You guys have me dying at y’all’s tweets,” she added.
