'I'm okay with lines appearing on my face': Sile Seoige doesn't mind getting older

TV star Sile Seoige has told how she loves getting older – and prefers herself now, rather than in her 20s.

The TG4 presenter said she now “sees lines” appearing on her face and can’t lose weight as easily, but is happy to be the woman she is now.

The 35-year-old said: “I certainly see lines on my face that weren’t there before and my idea of an ideal Friday night is chilling out at home, curled up in front of the fire instead of hitting the dance floor.

“But I’m OK with it. The truth is, I much prefer the woman I am today than the 25-year-old me. [But] at 35, I may not be able to shift the over-indulgences as quickly as I once could.”

And Sile believes that we all need to stop worrying so much about how we look.

“We spend so much time worrying about our physical beauty that often other parts of us are neglected,” she told Irish Country Magazine.

“For me, self-reflection and the discoveries it brings has made me a much more content person. I now know the good and the bad about myself and it’s been worth every second.”

But Sile does say that getting braces was a life-changing decision.

She said: “Getting braces and straightening my teeth my one of the best decisions I ever made. I feel more confident smiling in photos and it certainly gave my self-esteem a boost.”
