Ian Dempsey has gotten his first ever tattoo – live on air.
The Today FM star was dared as part of the station’s Dare To Care campaign to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society.
“That one I felt!” he said as he was getting inked in Cork.
The star design for the tattoo was chosen by a listener who is also going to be getting the same tattoo with her brother in the very same tattoo studio.
The DJ laughed his way through the tattoo as Limerick man Ross Nagle from Love Hate Social Club did his magic.

“It’s the David Bowie cover and it’s on my skin – and it’s there forever,” Ian said on his Today FM breakfast show.
“It looks absolute amazing. I’m delighted.”
