TV star Brendan Courtney has given a moving tribute to Cilla Black.
The Blind Date host died, aged 72, in her Spanish home, and fashion guru Brendan told fans he worked with the legend on his first ITV gig.
“My 1st ITV gig was presenting the final 2 series of ITVs Blind Date with the fabulous Cilla Black, she was a delight, kind, playful and always fun,” Brendan said.
“She always made a point of making me feel welcome, I would fly over every week to host the show which amused her greatly.”

“On the night she resigned live on our only ever ‘live broadcast’ (and much to the total shock of the execs), I was with her in the lift on our way to studio and she turned to me and said , ‘I’m gonna really rattle some cages tonight our kid, don’t miss it’ – how AMAZING.
“Thank you Ms Black you gave me amazing memories and beautiful inspiration. Love you,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Tributes have been pouring in for the TV star all day since the sad news was announced.
