Hughie Maughan has opened up on not having a male dance partner in RTE’s Dancing With The Stars.
The Dubliner started Ryan Ruckledge shortly after the pair entered the Big Brother house together and has been paired up with dancer Emily Barker.
“I think that’s just silly,” he said when asked why he didn’t have a male dance partner.

Hughie explained that if he was to dance with a male partner, there would be something missing.
“That’s just trying to prove the point ‘We’re not homophonic,'” he told Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show.
“Ballroom and Latin dancing is designed for male and female partners.
“It’s like having a bull fight having two men and no bull – you’re missing one key component.”
