Holly Carpenter opens up about being single and what she looks for in man

Since her Snapchat dating story went viral, Holly Carpenter has opened up about being single.

The former girlfriend of Cian Healy has been single for over a year and says she likes stronger men.

“I am still single. I am nearly single a year. I don’t have a type but I like really masculine guys who are protective and gentlemanly.

“I’m not really into overly groomed guys. I like guys who have the craic and a bit of banter and don’t take themselves too seriously,” she said.

The Dublin model says her blog about Snapchat, that was picked up by international press, has made her somewhat of an agony aunt.

The former Miss Ireland has been inundated with questions about dating advice.

“It’s funny because so many people have come to me asking me for advice but it’s almost like the blind leading the blind because I am no expert.

“I think a lot of people have a massive fear of rejection but I don’t really think you need to have that,” she told the Irish Mirror.

And the stunning 23-year-old reckons people need to take more risks in dating.

“The worst thing that can happen is they will say no to you. I think guys these days are intimidated by girls,” she explained.

“They don’t really know whether to ask them out or not but people need to go for it more and not worry about what other people think,” she added.

Holly has just become the face of LaurynRose.com a jewellery e-boutique which donates 10% of every purchase to Laura Lynn.

“I love wearing pieces from each eye-catching collection, knowing I’m also helping to give back to children supported by the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice,” she added.

Speaking about finding a new lover, Holly sais she would rather hold out for Mr.Right.

“I think everyone would love to meet someone they can spend time with but I would rather be single for years than settle for something with the wrong person,” she added.
