Graham Norton’s murder mystery picked up by Eastenders boss

Graham Norton’s murder mystery has been picked up by Eastenders bosses.

The presenter’s debut novel Holding is based in a small Irish village and the drama unfolds when human remains of villager Tommy Burke are discovered on an old farm.

Dominic Treadwell-Collins, who served as executive producer of the BBC soap for almost three years, announced that Blueprint Pictures had won the rights to the Cork native’s book.

The Head of Television at the company shared the good news to Twitter.

“Very excited to announce that we’ve won the television rights to Holding,” he wrote.

Blueprint Pictures has produced award-winning features like The Exotic Marigold Hotel and In Bruges.

The new deal for the chat show host comes after he revealed fears that his BBC show will be axed.
