TV star Graham Norton has helped his Irish neighbours sell their home – by recommending his Twitter followers buy it.

The BBC chat show host posted out the details of the west Cork property to his 800,000 followers.

He said: “Anyone looking for a house? Kitchen Cove, Ahakista, Ahakista (sic), Cork” and lists the name of the estate agents, Charles McCarthy, deaing with the sale.

The four-bedroom house – which is on the market for €1.2 million – is just two doors down from Graham’s home.

A spokesman for the estate agent told the Irish Independent that Graham had massively helped their chance of finding a sale.
