Graham Norton has posted a touching tribute to Carrie Fisher, as the news of her death broke yesterday evening.
The chat show host had interviewed the Star Wars actress a number of times and considered her a great friend.
In fact, the 60-year-old made her final TV appearance on The Graham Norton Show just weeks ago.
Taking to Twitter, Graham wrote, “Numb. Unbelievable that such a bright funny loving spark could be extinguished. @carrieffisher you will be missed. I wish you peace.”

Last week, the actress suffered a heart attack onboard a flight from London to LA, and despite reports that she was making a recovery, she was pronounced dead yesterday morning.
Family spokesman Simon Halls confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement to People Magazine yesterday evening.
AÂ statement released to People read, “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning.
“She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”
