Comedian Jason Byrne has revealed he’ll be dancing away doing “high kicks” this Christmas on the BBC.
The TV3 star was left with just ten minutes to learn a routine for John Bishop’s upcoming BBC Christmas special.
He had been due to just chat away on the show – but ended up being pushed the role planned for Olly Murs.

He told Goss.ie: “I had to do my routine with Simon Webb from Strictly.
“We had to do a routine which I had to learn in ten minutes at the interval because Olly Murs was supposed to do it.
“Olly turned up too late to practise. So John went, ‘Jason will do it.’ Olly sang a song so I had to rehearse upstairs in the interval.

“It was me, Simon (Webb), Jack Whitehall and John Bishop, so we’re in a line trying to do high kicks.
It came as Jason has been filming his new TV3 chat show – Snaptastic – which will be aired from January 11, 2015.
