George Clooney takes photos with locals in Laois

Hollywood heart throb George Clooney is vacating in Laois and was spotted in Abbeyleix yesterday.

The award winning actor was photographed with two locals from Laois, local publication Laois Today.

They report George met Andy Ring, the man behind the Irish Heritage Towns website.

Andy told the publication that George’s parents Nick and Nina first visited the town eight years ago.

The other man in the photo is Seamus Clooney – who is reportedly a distant relative of the Hollywood star.

It was previously revealed that George’s heritage was back traced to Abbeyleix, where it is believed his ancestors were evicted from their home during the Famine.

George’s ancestor, Sarah Clooney, reportedly worked in a factory in the town, which made the carpets that were used on the Titanic.
