Game of Thrones season seven filming delayed

Filming for season seven of Game of Thrones has been delayed, due to warm weather conditions in Europe.

Show producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss usually start filming on location in July, but unfortunately production has been pushed back due to winter, literally, not coming.

Due to the show’s set-back, fans will have to wait a little bit longer (!!!) for their Game of Thrones fix.

“We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will likely be a bit later,” the GOT bosses revealed during a chat on the UFC Unfiltered podcast.

Delayed: Fans will have to wait much longer to see Jon Snow again | HBO

“We’re starting (filming) a bit later because, you know, the end of this season, winter is here, and that means sunny weather doesn’t serve our purposes anymore, so we pushed back everything down the line to get some grim, grey weather, even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

The news comes after it was revealed that the final two seasons of Game of Thrones will only hold 13 episodes in total, meaning fans will be waiting more time, for less GOT action.
