Filming has wrapped on ‘The Doireann Project’

Filming wrapped today on ‘The Doireann Project’ which means it will be on our screens in no time!

Doireann Garrihy’s new sketches have been highly anticipated since the first episode of her show aired on the RTÉ Player back in January.

While the Snapchat star has been giving insights as to how she has dealt with the process of making the show on social media, glimpses of what we can expect from her new sketches have been scarce.

The RTÉ press office has been treating us mean and keeping us keen waiting to see what Doireann has in store for us, and it’s working because we’re buzzing for it!

She posted a snap of her last wig today signalling the end of filming but with the shoot wrapped, what do we know about the upcoming episodes? We know there’s going to be an original character in this series as opposed to it being solely impressions.

It will still feature loads of favourite impressions too though!

We also know there will be some male characters as Doireann has shared her frustration about not being able to get her nails done over the last month due to filming, because she’s playing “men”, plural.

And we know the best boy, Bobby, will be making his onscreen debut!

As for the rest of the surprises the show has in store… We’ll have to wait and see!

Doireann deserves a well-deserved break after an intense shooting schedule which she said, “6 weeks, 16 characters, 1400 takes, 8 wigs, 1 dog and 90 craic. As in the craic was 90 (I wanted to stick with the pattern).”

“If it wasn’t for the brilliant reaction to the pilot episode, this would never have happened. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every person who watched it, tweeted about it or told a friend. To the people who’ve been watching since my very first impressions video in November 2k16, yiz are ride or dies ????????❤”
